multimedia presentations in selected tombs
Immersing Visitors in Traditions of the Past
Part of our study in Tuscany involved visits to other Etruscan necropoli, including that of Cerveteri. There, park visitors can participate in a multimedia presentation within several of the more illustrious tombs. Similar multimedia presentations within Vulci's large-scale tombs, such as the Cuccumella and the Francious Tomb, would be a great way to re-contextualize many of the artifacts that were found in the tombs and have since been taken to museums. The tombs are very fun and exciting for visitors to explore, but they would be even more so if visitors could see what artifacts were found in the tomb and learn more about the lives of the Etruscans. Additionally, it introduces an entertainment factor to visitors and actively conveys pertinent information without any need for informational placards.
